Rest up
In the planning for this trip, we decided to spend two days here in Akureyri, using it as a rest and recharge stop. Being the second biggest city in the country, we figured there would be enough to do to keep us busy while still allowing us some extra rest. Well, as it turns out, its a pretty small town, and we were able to see it all … thrice!
That’s not all bad, as its a quaint town that simply radiates of charm. We spent several hours today just hanging out in a wonderful coffee shop enjoying the people watching, great coffee and each other’s company.
We had some mid-afternoon bubbly, while enjoying the gorgeous views of the surrounding fjords, and generally laid low. Perfect!
