Before the Azores - Boston
The flight to Ponta Delgada is a direct flight out of Boston, so we decided to come into town a day early to check out this American classic.
We landed about 11am, and made our way to The Boxer hotel to check in. We then headed out into the city to see what we could find. First stop… food. So we picked out Neptune Oyster to get our seafood on. And it didn’t disappoint!
The afternoon was spent exploring the North End, the Wharf, and central Boston, always running into old, historic buildings and places.
After a long day of walking and exploring, we took a short respite back at the hotel bar, to enjoy a couple of cocktails.
Once, we’d caught our breath, we decided to head back out to get some sandwiches we’d seen earlier in the day. A bottle of wine was scooped up as well, and we made our way back to the hotel to settle in and rest up for a long day tomorrow. We have most of the day tomorrow to explore Boston more, before heading to the Azores. We’ll arrive in Ponta Delgada at 6am local time, and plan to hit the ground running.
