That lagoon is blue!
A morning spent at the geothermal Blue Lagoon was the perfect way to start our adventures! Prosecco and naturally heated water make arriving at 6:30am worth it.
We were also treated to two separate facial masks, a silica base and an algae based. Both are byproducts of the lagoon.
The geothermal water originates over 6000 feet below the surface, at an average temperature of over 400 degrees F! By the time it reaches the surface its cooled to a perfect 100 degrees, which is glorious to soak in.
We spent the first 3 hours of our trip enjoying the warm water, the steam room and the bubbly.
